“Do you like Phil Collins?” I was in the car with my father this morning and this song came on the radio. I love disposable pop/rock like this. It’s supposed to be played and then forgotten asap, yet somehow the 80s sound production makes it a good listen even today.
Besides, Phil Collins is the most improbable rock superstar ever and his music is so hilariously devoid of soul or depth that you can’t help but like the guy.
Also, happy new year. 2008 was not very good for me, so here’s to a much more fulfilling 2009 for everyone.
